Ceiling
Flat ceilings.
Steel ceilings are favoured for their strength and being less prone to cracks and damage.
When required, steel ceiling battens are fixed to the underside of the bottom chord of steel roof trusses, steel rafters or steel intermediate floor joists with self-drilling screws through the flanges.
Plasterboard ceiling lining is fixed to the steel battens or furring channels with standard bugle head self-drilling screws.
